life

Years pass, Months pass, Weeks die out,Days do same, Hours are no different, Minutes uffff! talk less of seconds and life seems to be fading out in such a mysterious way.

Lets talk PEOPLE. Have you ever had two identical Mondays, Tuesdays,……Sundays? I don’t think so that’s because each day is a mystery on its own. Did it ever occur to you that even when you plan a day or whatever period it NEVER I mean never goes EXACTLY the way  you plan it? You may find it doubtful but it’s a fact.

Give it a thought…! Check your records keenly be it in your daily life or in you career.

The point is a SUPREME BEING controls EVERYTHING. I mean every little thing…

"Everyone's into her BLOG"

“Everyone’s into her BLOG”

What is this blogging all about? Some say it’s their diary, others say it’s their medium of posting articles on happenings in and around Buea as well as foreign events! “It’s all a matter of choice” they say.

What then is blogging professionally speaking? Blogging is the process of posting features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.

It’s been a nice experience having to blog. I hope it doesn’t just for classroom purposes. So, dear friends and pals you are called upon not to seize blogging even after JMC 414- (Online Journalism). In might be your source of income who knows!

JMC Open Day 2013

JMC Open Day 2013

People often look at this day as simply an academic forum, a medium of getting answers from communication experts. But that’s not just how I look at it. To me it’s beyond an academic gathering, it is “formal farewell”. Come to think of it! That’s the last time those in the final year sit in a formal gathering as a JMC family; the last time you get to probably have communication gurus on a one-on-one arena. To think you might part from your mates and friends for a long while! You may not have realized it but you might never see your mates; Ever again! upon graduation. Others might travel out of the country; others may build up matrimonial homes upon graduation, while others might just be no more. How then do you keep memories? Just a picture might be a great gift.

Think of it! Why not get pictures as souvenirs? not just of the open day itself. Why not pictures your research tours to the villages!

Classroom pictures and even out school pics!    Get contacts; speak to those you never spoken to, reconcile with your mates and friends, make peace with them; try to network because you never know where you’ll meet one another.

Some are wise enough to keep as many souvenir pictures as they can. Here’s a tip get as many group pictures as possible, if you can’t do it all ask for pics from friends, get a CD and burn them in. you might decide to put in a memorable song as background track if you wish. DON’T IGNORE IT! It might be a good tip. You won’t regret. I seize the opportunity to wish farewell to all aspiring graduates. I love you all!

If smile by faith, soon the joy will follow” . This beautiful quote by Joel Osteen is what i wish you carry  along with you today.

Short Friendship Poem

True Friends

Best friends stick together till the end,
They are like a straight line that will not bend.

They trust each other forever,
No matter if you’re apart you are together.

They can be your hero and save the day,
They will never leave your side they are here to stay.

They help you up when you fall,
Your true friends are best of all.

MANYU JEWEL; The Monikim Dance

The Manyu division has it variety of cultures, but what pricks me most is the “Monikim” . This a traditional dance that was displayed in the pre-colonial era by young maidens who intended getting married. The way you swayed your waist was a clear demonstration of your potentials as a beautiful and “fit-to-be” wife.

Also, according to the men, if you could dance very well, it meant you were very fertile as such you could give him HANDSOME and BEAUTIFUL  children. The beauty of the ladies during this dance was what marvelled the men most. From their attires to their make-ups and to their moves ” e sairi oh” would they say (What splendour).

For the girls who did not feature in this dance, they were not considered worthy enough to be called women. In essence, it was a disgrace not to be among them. To Be Continued …
